Body Rash Home Remedies

Oatmeal

Taking an oatmeal bath is a great home remedy for treating body rash.  It is really effective in reducing the inflammation.  Take about one cup of uncooked oatmeal and add it to your bath.  You can also buy colloidal oatmeal at the drugstore.  This is powdered oatmeal.  Let this soak for awhile before you get in.

I’ve been told that if you apply some olive oil to the troublesome area, this might provide some relief.

There are a few different jells, or oils that you can use on your body rash.  The ones I’m aware of include:  cod liver oil, vitamin E oil, and aloe vera gel.

***

If you’re afflicted with constant itching and inflammation from body rash on your back or other areas of your body, use some baking powder.

Chamomile Tea Body Rash Natural Remedy

If the itching and inflammation of body rash is driving you insane, I have a great home remedy.  Get some chamomile tea and wash the irritating areas with this.  You’ll start to notice results in a very short time.

***

As a home remedy for body rash you can take some yellow dock root and add chaparral with dandelion and make a poultice.  This will treat and help remove the skin rash.

***

One remedy involves making comfrey tea or calcium water and put this on the affected areas.  In order to make the calcium water, you take one teaspoon of calcium gluconate powder and add it to a cup of water and mix it together.

You can treat the conditions of body rash by the type of diet you have.  You need to go heavy on foods that contain lots of vitamin C.  Vitamin C has a lot of antioxidant properties that will combat the symptoms of body rash.  Also, if there are known foods that you consume that might cause allergic skin rash reactions, be sure to avoid them.

***

When you are outside, try to protect affected areas from direct sunlight.  Also, you should avoid hot water.

***

If you are experiencing body rash, don’t scrub the areas where there is breakout.

***

Using traditional soaps can cause further irritation and worsen the condition.  Try using gentle body cleaners instead.

***

If you are experiencing body rash, don’t use any type of ointment or cosmetic lotions over the affected areas.

***

When you are bathing or just spot cleansing parts of your body; be sure you use warm water and avoid using hot water.  Also, be sure to pat dry over the affected areas that you have our body rash.

***

Always try to expose the affected areas to open air as much as you can.  Allowing the skin to breathe this way really helps the healing process.

***

Another area to look at when trying to rid the rashes from your skin is to look at the type of clothing you wear.  Try to determine if it’s possible that the clothing has dyes and chemicals that could be causing an allergic reaction.

***

When you’re trying to determine the cause of your body rash, consider if you are using any elastic, latex or rubber products that you could be having an allergic reaction to.

***

If you have a persistent body rash that keeps coming back and you don’t know the cause; I have a remedy that will at least remove it each time.  Whenever I return from my workouts at the gym, I will have developed a rash.  I discovered that if I put Tea Tree Oil on the affected areas; this will stop the itching and the redness almost completely disappears. This is also a great preventative remedy to stay clear of Staph Infections.

Corn Starch as Home Remedy for Body Rash

For a body rash home remedy, put some corn starch on the affected areas.  I had some really bad rashes that I couldn’t get to go away.  I tried various medications, and nothing worked.  Someone finally told me about trying corn starch, and it actually worked.  Just put it on like you would apply baby powder.

For many years, I experienced a nagging rash on my back that wouldn’t go away.  Finally I discovered that the cause of it was the commercial liquid laundry detergent that I had been using. When I switched to an environmentally friendly type of laundry soap, the symptoms cleared up.   It clears up body rashes like mine and is definitely worth the extra amount of money it costs.

Take some baby oil and apply to your body rash at night before going to sleep.  This will help relieve the itching and discomfort while healing away the rash.
