Diarrhea Home Remedies, Natural Remedies & Cures

Black Tea Diarrhea Home Remedy

Make a cup of strong black tea letting it steep for about 10 minutes.  The tannic acid is a great natural cure for diarrhea.  Steeping longer lets more of the tannic acid soak into the water.

Black Pepper

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add two teaspoons of kelp and 3 teaspoons of black pepper and drink this as a natural cure for diarrhea.

Apple Cider Vinegar

With each meal, drink a cup of water with one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.

Drink Liquids

Drink plenty of liquids when suffering from diarrhea.

In a skillet or pan, roast a half teaspoon of fenugreek seeds and a half teaspoon of cumin seeds.  When roasted for about 5 minutes, grind them to a powder with a mortar and pestle.  Add this to four teaspoons of plain yogurt.  Take this three times each day.  This is an excellent diarrhea home remedy.

Take about a half dozen red radishes and blend these with a half teaspoon of corn starch and a cup of milk.  Drink this slowly.  This diarrhea natural remedy should put an end to your diarrhea in about one hour.  If necessary, drink this again after four hours have lapsed.

Heat up eight ounces of water to just on the warm side.  Stir in four tablespoons of honey and drink.

Fruit Powder

Take some slices of bel fruit that has not yet ripened and let it sun dry.  Then grind it into a powder.  Stir a teaspoon of this into a cup of warm water and drink it twice a day.

Bananas & Carob

If you eat bananas and carob it will go far to make your bowel movements normal.

Mullein & Slippery Elm Enema

Take an enema of tea made from mullein and slippery elm.  This is a really good diarrhea natural remedy when the diarrhea is stubborn and refuses to go away.

Slipper Elm and Herbal Tea

To eliminate cramping and diarrhea a good home remedy is to make a tea of slippery elm, clove, comfrey and red raspberry.

Paint Ginger

Paint fresh raw ginger juice around your navel and let it set for awhile.

Lemon Peel

Take an entire lemon peeling and all and put it in the blender with a dab of salt.  Then consume the whole thing.  Do this twice a day.

Banana, Salt and Tamarind Paste

Mash up a ripe banana and add a dash of salt and one teaspoon of tamarind paste and eat this two times each day.  This is a remarkable home remedy for diarrhea.

Mustard Plaster Natural Diarrhea Remedy

A mustard plaster is a time honored home remedy for diarrhea (and a lot of other things).  To do this add a little water and white flour to some ground mustard so that it makes a paste.  Put this on a cloth and press it onto the stomach.  Let it stay for around fifteen minutes.  Mustard is know for its medicinal properties and will get rid of your diarrhea in a hurry.  You can trust this home remedy.  I have used it and it works really good.

Try the BRAT diet.  This is bananas, rice, apples and toast.

Lemon Juice and Baking Soda

When I was in Mexico I came down with a serious bout of diarrhea.  My friend’s mother got 2 lemons and squeezed out all the juice into a cup.  Then she added a half teaspoon of baking powder.  When it started to foam, she had me drink it immediately.  It worked so amazingly well that I am still dumbfounded by it.  I don’t know how it works but it works.
