Infection Home Remedies, Natural Remedies and Cures
Many people have found that using natural honey as a home remedy for infection is a very effective cure. This is especially helpful when treating a wound that has been infected with a staph infection. Honey is helpful because it adds hydrogen peroxide onto the wound and this works as a natural antiseptic by killing bacteria. Simply use a clean cotton ball and apply honey directly to an infected wound. Then cover the wound with gauze to keep the original infection at bay and to keep new bacteria out of the wound. This is a wonderful natural home remedy for infection.

While this infection natural home remedy is odd, it works very well. I have personally used this at one point when I found that I had a very bad infection on my toe and tried this odd home remedy. Simply wrap some bacon around the infected site (in my case, it was my toe) and place the bacon wrapped body part in a plastic bag, but do not seal the bag. This should quickly clear your infection and you'll love this simple and easy home remedy and natural cure for infection.

Bread & Milk
One of the best natural cures for infection can be messy and somewhat tricky, but I have found that it works very well. This natural remedy for infection will actually draw the infection out of your body. I used this once when I was bitten by a dog and had such a horrible infection, that I was unable to properly walk on the affected leg. To use this amazing home remedy, simply take a plastic Ziploc bag and cut a hole that is large enough to fit around the affected area. Use duct tape or another strong type of tape to affix the bag around the wound, with the bag sealed at the top. Next, place a few slices of bread, enough whole milk to cover and soak the bread and some ground flax seed into the bag. Once the bag is securely re-sealed, knead the mixture well and allow it to become fully incorporated. Once the mixture is fully mixed, allow the bag to sit on the infected wound. This will draw the infection out of your body. I allowed mine to stay on my wound overnight. In the morning, simply remove the bag and clean the area thoroughly. This can be repeated until the infection is gone. This will only work if there's actually an open wound, or an opening on the wound to allow the infection to drain. If not, then you can take a sterilized needle and pierce the skin to allow a place for the infection to drain out of the body.

Tea Bag Natural Infection Home Remedy
After surgery, I found that one of my incisions became infected. Not only was it swollen, but it was inflamed and painful. To help remedy this, I didn't want to take additional medications and cause my body to have to digest more antibiotics and other medications. Instead, I decided to spread some Smile's Prid Salve and alum on the wound. After that was evenly spread over the infected area, I placed a tea bag on top . Any type of tea will do, but I try to stay away from overly processed or any teas that aren't 100% organic. I then wrapped the entire area in Saran Wrap and allowed it to set overnight. In the morning, I unwrapped the wound and wiped the area with tea bags throughout the next day. I found that this cleared up the infection quickly. This has proven to be a wonderful natural remedy for infection.

After stepping on glass as a child, I remember my parents wrapping my foot with raw bacon slices. This is actually an very effective natural remedy for infection. While it's odd, it does work very well. Be sure to clean the area after removing the raw bacon (keep it dry and clean!). This will allow the wound to heal quickly and will also clear up any infection. This is one of the best natural treatments for infection.

Tea bags soaked in warm water are wonderfully effective natural cures for infections. I tried this after I tried to pierce my nose by myself (obviously not a great idea), and read this home remedy on a website. This is a wonderful home remedy that works very well when trying to treat an infection. Simply soak a tea bag in warm (not hot; you don't want to scald yourself!) water and apply to the infected area. This will help to reduce the swelling and will also help to clear up the infection. This is one of my favorite natural cures for infection.

To get rid of an infection, you need to get all of the infected puss out of the wound. To do this, I like to use a small sterilized needle and puncture a small hole on the punctured area. The needle should be cleaned with hot water and/or rubbing alcohol and used to make a hole that is just big enough to allow the puss to escape. Once a hole is made, simply squeeze the infected area until all of the puss is pushed out through the hole that you've made. While this is obviously for smaller wounds, it would likely work for larger wounds as well, but you may need to make more than one hole for the puss to escape. Once you've squeezed all of the puss out of the wound, you'll want to clean the wound using hydrogen peroxide. You'll notice that the hydrogen peroxide will bubble when placed on the wound. Allow it to bubble, as this is showing you that the infection is being cleared away. Once the bubbling as subsided, clean the area with a bit of rubbing alcohol and then apply some antibacterial ointment to the area. Cover the wound with a bandage and allow it to remain covered for a few hours, or overnight. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how quickly this will clear up an infection. This is a great home remedy for infection.

Bacon as Infection Home Remedy
While once suffering from a poisonous bite, I decided to use the bacon treatment. I simply wrapped the bitten and infected area with bacon and allowed the bacon to draw out the infection. I found that despite the fact that the bacon was raw when I placed it on the wound, it was nearly cooked when I woke up in the morning. This is one of my favorite home remedies for infection. Instead of taking more medications from doctors, a friend, brought me bacon and told me to try this home remedy, and I'm so glad that I did!

To treat infection naturally, I like to use this wonderful natural remedy. I grate some Fels Naptha (originally found in bar form), then add some sugar to create equal parts Fels Naptha and sugar. I then add some water and make a paste. This compound is the applied directly to the infected area. The area is finally covered with a bandage. This is something that my parents would do for us when we were children, and this is something that I will continue to do for my entire life. This is a wonderful natural cure for infection.

For any type of infection, you should be sure to increase your intake of vitamin C. This is a great way to naturally fight off infection. For ear infections, one of the best natural treatments is to take lots of zinc supplements. Be sure to ingest lots of calcium through your diet. As always, hydrogenated oils and processed foods should be avoided, but you should be especially mindful of avoiding these foods when you're sick to avoid further aggravating your infection. If your infant is suffering from an infection, you should try especially hard to breast feed them, as the mother's natural milk is a wonderful natural treatment for infection.

Not only does it help to keep infections at bay, but vitamin C helps to boost the immune system and naturally increases your body's natural defenses against infection. This is especially helpful for those suffering from ear infections.

If you have a first infection, or an acute infection, try ingesting about half of a teaspoon of the following tincture every half an hour. If you find that you have a chronic case of infection, then you'll need to follow more severe measures of treatment. This is my favorite natural treatment for infection. Simply mix uva ursi tincture with echinacea, buchu and pipsissewa tinctures together in equal parts. This should be ingested in twenty drop services every two hours. Ingest every two hours for the first two days, and then progress to one teaspoon four times a day until symptoms have completely subsided. Urva ursi has a very strong antiseptic effect, so try to counteract this with a soothing and wonderful tea. Marshmallow root is a wonderful natural counter to the harsh effects of the urva ursi tincture.
