Hair Removal Natural Home Remedies & Tips

Chick Pea Flour and Turmeric Natural Home Remedy for Hair Removal

My grandmother has used this recipe for years. She takes about a ¼ of a cup of gram flour (ground chick pea flour) and adds a generous amount of turmeric powder perhaps a few tsp and mixes them together with some water to create a paste. Apply it to your face and let dry. After drying rub it off your face then wash your face. This is one of the best hair removal natural remedies I have used.

Another natural hair removal remedy is to pluck the hair out with tweezers. It is not a permanent hair removal but it works! You must pluck the hair out once or twice a week.

Epilator Home Remedy for Hair Removal

A really good home remedy for hair removal is an epilator. An epilator is an electric tweezer that will pluck your hair right from the root. Your hair will take longer to grow back and when the hair starts to grow back it is much finer and not as visible. They are sold in drug stores and some department stores. They come in different price ranges. I like the epilator a lot because I can use it at home.

I read somewhere in a magazine that blending corn flour, egg whites and sugar together creates a fantastic paste that is a natural remedy for hair removal. I tried it and it works! You mix the egg white with the corn flour and sugar until it is sticky, then you apply to the area you want hair removed and allow the paste to dry. After it is all dry peel the mask off. You must repeat this process a few times a week. Good luck!

Sugaring as Home Remedy for Hair Removal

One of the best home remedies for hair removal is a method called “sugaring.”  You mix together sugar, lemon juice and water to a high until it is quite thick. You will need a candy thermometer to measure the heat while cooking. You must allow the paste to cool before applying it on your skin. Sugaring removes the hair at the root and so when it does grow back there will be less hair and the hair itself will be softer. This is a natural alternative to waxing or shaving. You will need at least 2 cups of sugar, ¼ cup of water and ¼ cup of lemon juice. Also take some soft smooth cotton cloth and rip into one inch strips. You will need a sauce pan. Mix the sugar, water and lemon juice together. Heat until it reaches 250F on candy thermometer making sure all the while it does not boil over. After heated take off burner and allow cooling until it is lukewarm and pour into glass jar. Again, make certain this mixture is cool before applying to your skin because you do not want to burn yourself! Apply to your skin with a smooth cooking utensil like a soft knife you would use to spread icing on a cake. Then apply the strips of cotton over the mixture on your skin. Allow to sit for a 3-5 minutes. Then rip the cotton strips off. This is similar to waxing yet less painful. When you want to use the mixture again to remove hair you only need to warm it, not heat it up like we did when we initially cooked the sugar.
