Gout Natural Treatments, Cures and Home Remedies

 

 

Avoid Niacin

I want to share with you the most natural treatment for Gout that I discovered after years of trial and error.  About six years back I saw a cardiologist who wanted to control my cholesterol and put me on a medication and diet regime.  Included with my medication was a daily dose of Niacin that was time released.  This was taken along with a LIPID to better form a combination to lower my cholesterol.  Around three years after starting this treatment I started to develop Gout symptoms.  It became very hard to even get around with this condition.  Even my left foot became too swollen to wear a shoe.  I then went to my family doctor who prescribed Allopurinol with additional diet modification.  This seemed to help and later I was prescribed Uloric.  My Gout stayed for two more years at just below acute levels.  My uric acid levels were a constant problem of their own accord.  My wife saw in an article that niacin was contributed to a higher uric acid level in certain people.  I then eliminated niacin and within a couple of weeks my Gout symptoms went away.  I then stopped taking Uloric and after a couple of weeks my Gout hadn’t returned.  I experimented and started taking the niacin again and the Gout returned within a week.  I decided to completely drop using the niacin and the Uloric.  I’ve now been without Gout for over eight months and my recent blood work hasn’t shown any signs increase with my cholesterol after dropping the niacin.

I was having problems with a Gout condition and after questioning me about my diet and lifestyle my doctor suggested I cut out alcohol.  I took his advice and my Gout symptoms have disappeared. I’d have to say that this is a very simple and effective natural treatment for Gout and I thought I should share it.  Good luck with treating your Gout.  Perhaps it’s as easy for you if you tend to include a regular amount of alcohol in you diet.

Gout used to be known as a disease for the wealthy because they were the ones who would often eat red meat.  So red meat along with other foods like oily fish, internal organs, and yeast really can contribute to the risk of developing Gout.  A good way to prevent or eliminate the condition of Gout is to change your diet and exclude the things I have listed.

If you are suffering from the pain of Gout, try putting some ice packs or cold compresses on the affected areas.  This can help with reducing the pain and the inflammation.

I have a home remedy for Gout that I use when attacks start to happen.  I take some hemorrhoid cream and apply it to the problem areas and this really helps to reduce the swelling and pain.  Also, make sure to drink lots of fluid and keep yourself hydrated as a preventative way of avoiding Gout attacks.

 A very simple and enjoyable way of preventing and/or preventing Gout is to eat fresh cherries.  They have an antioxidant called anthocyanins that works to relieve inflammation, pain, and reduce the number of times that the Gout may flare up.  If you eat about fourteen to around twenty cherries in the morning when you wake up; this will start to work combating your Gout.  After a while you can start to reduce the amount of cherries you’re eating.

Vegetable Juice Home Remedy for Gout

I discovered a great home remedy for Gout using vegetable juices.  If you take some raw vegetables like carrot, beetroot, and cucumbers; you can make some wonderful concoctions.  Here is a recipe I use that really helps to contain my Gout condition.  I use 100 ml of cucumber juice, 100 ml of beetroot juice, and about 300 ml of carrot juice each day.

 I have always treated my Gout with the daily intake of some French bean or string bean juice.  I usually take about 150 ml of this juice each day.  It really relieves my suffering.  It is worth giving it a try.

Apples as Home Remedy for Gout

There is a great natural treatment for Gout that is easy to use.  Just go to your local grocery store and get some apples.  Apples are a really good source for curing Gout because they contain malic acid that can neutralize the uric acid caused Gout sufferers so much trouble.  If you eat just one apple after each meal, you’ll greatly help your condition.

Your diet can impact all kinds of illness and diseases like Gout.  A great type of natural treatment for Gout is to eat bananas.  Even if you only eat bananas for a few days, you’ll get some relief.  This diet requires that you eat only bananas for three to four days and not eat anything else.

Lime Juice Gout Natural Treatment

The main cause of Gout is the abundance of uric acid and if you have some lime juice it can neutralize this uric acid.  Just take a lime and squeeze about one half of a glass and drink it a couple of times a day.  Lime has vitamin C which helps to prevent and cure sore joints because it can help to strengthen the connective tissues in your body.
