Dehydration Home Remedies & Natural Treatments

 

Lime Juice, Salt & Sugar

Mix together a cup of water with two teaspoons lime juice,  ¼ teaspoon of salt, and three teaspoons of sugar.

Before you go out and do anything that could possibly cause you to get dehydrated, drink some pickle juice. This is a good home remedy for dehydration.

Don’t drink soda or Gatorade. Only drink lots of water to help with dehydration.

Electrolytes

Drink water with electrolytes. Pedialyte works really well for kids. To make your own water with electrolytes in it, mix together a half of a teaspoon of baking soda, three tablespoons of sugar, a tiny bit of table salt, a fourth or so of lite salt or something like it, and put it all in a quart of water. This is a great home remedy for trying to avoid dehydration.

Make a substance with a little drop of dry ginger and one cup of buttermilk and drink it several times daily.

Eating green bananas helps with dehydration.

Popsicles are a good way to help stay hydrated.

***

Water with a little bit of orange or apple juice in it is a good way to help dehydration.

Consuming lots of fruits and veggies with a significant amount of water content is good for dehydration. Some examples are raisins, tomatoes, cucumbers, and strawberries among others.

Eating yogurt with a pinch of fenugreek powder on a regular basis is good for hydration, as is upping the amount of salt in your diet.

Stir together a pinch of honey, ginger juice, and mint juice. Drink this to help with dehydration.

Boil an apple like a soup with a few shakes of nutmeg powder. This dehydration home remedy worked great for me.

Take a raw papaya and bring it to a boil in at least three cups of water.  After it’s cooled drink all the water by the end of the day.

Lemon

Pummel a lemon and it’s seeds into a mush with some salt. Consume a pinch of this several times a day. This is a great home remedy for dehydration.

Take around a half cup of water, add in a pinch of pudin hara, and drink a few times a day.

Yogurt or cottage cheese can help you gain back your electrolytes if you become dehydrated.

***

Eat watermelon and cucumbers because they are high in water content and will help if you’re dehydrated.

***

Do not eat any fried foods to help avoid dehydration and to stop from making it worse if you become dehydrated.

***

To help your body avoid shock if you’re dehydrated, don’t drink water at a temperature that is ice-cold.

***

If you’re going to be out in the sun, wear loose fitting clothes and a hat.

***

Mix together a pinch of dried ginger into a cup of buttermilk and drink several times a day. This home remedy works great for dehydration.

Nibble a little bit of the inside lining of a pomegranate with some salt.

***

If you get dehydrated blueberries and bilberries will help with the side effect of diarrhea, which sometimes appears when somebody becomes dehydrated.
