Salt as Gingivitis Natural Cure

Essential Oils Home Remedy for Gingivitis

If you’re looking for some home grown cures for gingivitis, you can start by using products that derive from essential oils.  Some good ones are peppermint, lavender and eucalyptus.  Rinse the oils out – don’t swallow them as they are too strong to send to the stomach.

There is a great way to treat gingivitis that really works for me.  Simply take a clove and rub clove oil all along your gums.  You can also stash a clove or two in your mouth next to your gum and keep it there a while.

If you want help with your gingivitis and swelling of your gums, just use an anti-bacteria mouth wash several times a day until the symptoms go away.

For problems with gingivitis, you should use a mouthwash that has one or some of these ingredients in it.  These include:  peppermint oil, chamomile tincture, menthol, and/or sage oil.  When you use toothpaste, use some that have sage oil, peppermint oil, or the other ingredients listed above.

Diet as Natural Remedy for Gingivitis

A good home remedy for treating gingivitis should be focused on your diet.  If your diet is rich in vitamin C you’ll help yourself combat gingivitis.  Your overall diet should be low in saturated fats and have lots of fresh fruits, and vegetables.  Also you need to have enough fiber in your diet.  The less you have vitamin C in your diet and the more is an increased risk of developing gingivitis.  Often times, people will need to take a vitamin C supplement in effort to help restore the health of their gums.  You should always try to eat foods that are rich in vitamin C.  You should avoid white flour, white rice, syrups, and drinks with sugar of fruit juices.

Green Tea Natural Cure for Gingivitis

My drinking green tea has proven to be a great home remedy for gingivitis.  It is only a matter of minutes after I’ve had some green tea that the pain, discomfort, and swelling dies down.

I have found that bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) is a great home remedy for my gingivitis.  It really helps to treat my gums when they swell up and bleed.  Usually within 30 minutes of having my bicarb treatment, and the pain and swelling will be gone.

I have some good advice to help you with gums that are swollen and painful.  Get some hydrogen peroxide and add it to some water and rinse with it several times thorough out the day.  You’ll soon see some good results.

Xylitol Gingivitis Home Remedy

I suggest you get some xylitol and buy a pound of it at some place like whole foods for around $9.00.  Put about a fourth of one teaspoon in your mouth alone with some ginger.  The ginger will help to neutralize the acidity of the xylitol.  Keep this in your mouth for about twenty minutes before you spit it out.  You should do this process following meals.  After each meal you should have some water and rinse off your teeth from all the lemons, sugar, yogurt, and acid, etc. that that is harmful to your teeth and gums.  You can also use xylitol gum as an alternative.  You can also put one tablespoon of sesame, olive oil, or sunflower oil in your mouth and swish it around for about twenty minutes before rinsing with water and spitting it out.  This is also helpful as it contains vitamin K that is good for killing germs.  Lastly, you can also gargle salt water in the morning and at night.

Herbal Toothpaste Home Remedy for Gingivitis

One of the best gingivitis natural cures is to use an herbal toothpaste that has neem, basil, babool (Acacia Arabia) and mint.  This is a common ayurvedic toothpaste and you can buy it online.  These herbs lessen the inflammation and help clear up the condition.

Aloe Vera Natural Cure for Gingivitis

You can rub aloe vera pulp onto your gums.  Use your finger to work it into the crack between gums and teeth.  Let it sit on your gums for a few minutes before rinsing.

Herbal Mixture Gingivitis Home Remedy

Mix together ¼ teaspoon of clove powder, ½ teaspoon of peppermint leaf powder, 1 teaspoon of myrrh powder and 2 teaspoons of white oak bark.  If you can’t find these powdered, buy it whole and use a grinder like a Krupp.  Every morning, rub this onto your gums.  This is an excellent home remedy for gingivitis.

Clove oil is awesome home remedy for treating gingivitis. It might burn a little.  Rub it on your gums in the affected areas and after about 30 seconds, gargle to wash it out.
