Infection Natural Home Remedies & Natural Cures

Vitamin C

Vitamin C inhibits bacterial growth and is an excellent natural treatment for urinary tract infections.  You should try to meet a daily quota of healthy fruits and vegetables that are chock full of vitamins and minerals.  It is important to naturally cure a urinary tract infection with these minerals because they help to regulate the alkaline content in the urine.  This can be done with fresh vegetables, fruits and milk.  Citrus fruits are also an amazingly abundant source of vitamin C.  Try to get these fruits incorporated into your diet by making an assorted fruit tray.  If this isn't something you would like, try making your own salad dressing with orange or lemon juice mixed with olive oil.

Berry Juice

To quickly treat a variety of infections with a simple home remedy, make your own juice with lots of fresh berries.  This should be done every morning and every night and you'll love how quickly your infection will subside.  This is extremely effective because it helps to add vitamins and antioxidants to your diet in a way that is very easy for the body to absorb and digest.

What to Avoid

If you wish to treat your infection naturally, avoid processed foods like dairy products, chocolate and cheese.  You should also keep cigarettes, alcohol, caffeine and spicy foods out of your diet.  Carbonated drinks like soda, beer and other fizzy drinks are also awful for your diet.  Anything with white processed flour is also bad for your body and only weakens it, which makes it more difficult to fight off an infection.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is an excellent natural cure for sinus infections.  Simply mix sixteen ounces of water with an eighth of a cup of apple cider vinegar.  Drink this mixture for about five days, and it should be ingested several times throughout the day.  Not only will you find that the mucous build up will thin, but the sinus infection will quickly subside as well.

If the regular mixture of apple cider vinegar and water doesn't work well for you, try to drink it as fast as you can.  This treatment should be continued several times a day for about a week.  You'll quickly find your symptoms subsiding.

Garlic as Natural Infection Home Remedy

Not only does it have lots of anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties, garlic is used to treat lots of health maladies like ear infections, bladder problems, kidney issues, colds, colic, stomach cancer, thinning blood, hypertensions, respiratory illnesses, worms, strep throat, athlete's foot, the flu, skin infections, ulcers and wounds of varying degrees of severity.  It is especially wonderful when used to treat worms that have infected both humans and animals.  Simply ingest a clove of garlic (or give a clove to Fido) to treat your infection naturally with garlic.  Don’t take it on an empty stomach

A German committee that has been formed to research the effects of herbs and their combinations, the German Commission E has shown that Goldenrod is a wonderfully effective natural and herbal cure for infections.  It's especially useful for kidney stones, bladder infections and urinary infections.  This natural treatment is widely used in Europe.  Topically, it is used to eczema, arthritis, rheumatism, and wound healing.  It can be drunk as a tea or gargled, depending on what the ailment is.  Blue Mountain Tea is the appropriate name for tea made out of Goldenrod.  Herbalists in Appalachia have been using this tea for many years as a treatment for infection.

Aloe Vera

If you suffer from skin infections, you'll want to use aloe.  This is an amazingly effective natural treatment for skin infections and has been used for thousands of years for its healing properties.  It has even been used for treating skin infections after surgery.  Try using aloe when you have dry skin, allergic reactions, conjunctivitis, vaginal infections, fungus, athlete's foot, urticaria, herpes, sores, rashes, insect bites or blisters.  While it's best to use the plant in its raw form, you can also find some great commercial products of the aloe vera plant, and it can be taken orally (despite the fact that it doesn't taste very well).  Topically, aloe can be used for eczema, wrinkles, warts, rosacea, scarring, psoriasis, x-ray radiation, shingles, frostbite (it can help with decreased blood flow), sunburn and acne.

While vinegar as an infection home remedy isn't the most pleasant tasting, it is certainly one of the best and most effective.  I always fill a shot glass with vinegar and drink this once every four hours.  Drinking a one ounce shot of vinegar really brings relief and helps my symptoms to go away quickly.  Bottoms up!
